(This is a now page, and if you have your own site, you should make one, too. Thanks to Derek Sivers for the concept.)

I updated my website layout. It is text‐heavier now, which feels appropriate given that my site’s content is mostly thoughts/stories/translations so far. I’ll find a more visually exciting solution for my visual communication portfolio soon.

This was a month of travel.

First, a photography/hiking holiday in the mountains. Then I was in Paris for a week, visiting two great ecological economy thinkers and working on systemicchange.network. And yesterday, I returned from five snowy days in Austria.

I’m now back home in Krefeld, further working out the details of a project: It will be a website that introduces visitors to the ecological limits to material footprint growth.

Oof. Sounds boooring.

It’s not. It is urgent, it is an exciting subject to explore and it needs a clear, honest voice to speak about it so it will be easier to not find it boring and incomprehensible. That is what I am working on.

And not just me – some fantastic people are joining me!

One more thing: I’m now done translating the first sequence of Eliezer Yudkowsky’sRationality: From AI to Zombies”.
